Finpro e-Envanter

Controlled preparation
from SAP data
to e-Envanter

Finpro e-Envanter brings SAP ECC and S/4HANA data into your inventory ledger process. Preparation, validation and approval are managed through a single cockpit within SAP. Opening and closing inventory ledgers are created in the same software as e-Defter and prepared for GİB approval certificates.

SAP ECC and S/4HANA compatibility | One platform with e-Defter | GİB certificates replace notarisation

Overview

What is e-Envanter?

e-Envanter allows taxpayers who keep books on a balance sheet basis to maintain their inventory ledger electronically through the Turkish Revenue Administration’s (GİB) e-Defter application. From 1 January 2026, taxpayers within the scope of e-Defter may choose this method voluntarily.

The inventory ledger is created twice a year: an opening inventory as of the first day of the accounting period and a closing inventory as of the last day. Files approved with a financial seal or qualified electronic signature are uploaded to GİB. The resulting GİB approval certificates (berat) replace the notarised opening and closing approvals.

GİB requires the inventory ledger to be created using the same compatible software as the journal and general ledger. Finpro e-Envanter runs on the same software as Finpro e-Defter.

Scope

Your complete inventory ledger, built from SAP data

Finpro e-Envanter compiles balance sheet items from SAP general ledger, subledger and valuation records. Each line can be traced back to its source document. Together, we define the supported items and level of detail based on your company’s chart of accounts and SAP environment.

Cash and bank balances

01

Cash, bank and foreign currency accounts are listed with their balances on the inventory date. Account and currency details, valuation exchange rates and Turkish lira equivalents are considered together. Consistency with accounting balances is checked during preparation.

Trade receivables and payables

02

Customer and vendor balances are transferred to the inventory ledger by individual account. Foreign currency items are included at their revalued amounts. During preparation, customer and vendor account statements are reconciled with the relevant general ledger balances.

Inventories

03

Inventories are transferred to the inventory ledger with quantities and values by material. The level of detail depends on your company’s SAP environment. During preparation, SAP MM inventory values are reconciled with FI accounting balances.

Tangible and intangible assets

04

Fixed assets are retrieved individually from SAP Asset Accounting. Cost, accumulated depreciation and net book value are shown together. During preparation, asset values for the selected period are checked against the relevant balance sheet accounts.

Financial assets and investments

05

Investments in associates, subsidiaries and securities are listed at the carrying amounts recorded in the relevant accounts. Classification and level of detail follow your chart of accounts. Amounts are checked for consistency with balance sheet items.

Loans and financial liabilities

06

Bank loans and other financial liabilities are considered with maturity and currency details. During inventory preparation, checks cover classification as current or non-current liabilities, foreign currency valuation and consistency with the relevant accounting balances.

Equity and profit or loss

07

Capital, reserves, prior-year results and the current period’s profit or loss are included at their respective account balances. Classification follows your chart of accounts. Amounts on the selected inventory date are checked for consistency with the balance sheet.

Have an item that is not listed?

08

Let’s review balance sheet items specific to your company or sector. We will define account mappings, SAP data sources and the required level of detail to clarify your inventory scope, then plan preparation and validation accordingly.

Integration

An integrated process from SAP data to GİB approval

Finpro e-Envanter brings SAP data into inventory ledger preparation. Validation and approval take place in the same software as e-Defter. Files are prepared for the GİB approval certificate process.

One platform with e-Defter

GİB requires the inventory ledger to be created with the same compatible software as the journal and general ledger. Finpro e-Envanter shares the same infrastructure as Finpro e-Defter. The existing intermediary and consent arrangements also cover the inventory ledger.

SAP ECC and S/4HANA

Works with general ledger, subledger and asset records in your existing SAP environment. Adaptable to both ECC and S/4HANA.

Benefits

Less data transfer, more control at period end

Finpro e-Envanter creates the closing inventory ledger from the same SAP records that underpin your accounts. This reduces reconciliation work between the balance sheet and inventory ledger, allowing tax and accounting teams to close the period in one workflow.

Inventory preparation
based on SAP data

GİB approval certificates for the opening and closing inventory ledgers replace notarised opening and closing approvals. Printing, binding and notarisation are no longer required.

Controlled, traceable
record management

Inventory ledger lines come from the SAP records used to prepare the balance sheet. Validation reports identify accounts with discrepancies before closing.

Regulatory compliance
and digital continuity

The journal, general ledger and inventory ledger are prepared in the same solution, meeting GİB’s requirement to use the same compatible software.

Process

A controlled process from SAP data to GİB approval

01

Data

SAP balance sheet items are converted into inventory ledger lines for the beginning or end of the period.

02

Validation

Inventory totals are compared with the balance sheet. Accounts with discrepancies are reported.

03

Approval

Review and approval are carried out according to defined authorisations.

04

Certificate

The file is approved with a financial seal or qualified electronic signature and uploaded to GİB. An approval certificate is obtained.

05

Archive

Inventory ledger and approval certificate files are stored in SAP and reported by period.

Switching to e-Envanter

Prepare for your 2026 closing inventory with e-Envanter

e-Envanter is optional, and the choice is made for each accounting period. Corporate income tax taxpayers may upload the closing inventory ledger for the 2026 period to GİB by 14 May 2027. There are two transition paths, depending on your current e-Defter solution.

If you use Finpro e-Defter

e-Envanter is added to your existing e-Defter installation. Chart of accounts mappings, approval workflows and intermediary arrangements are retained. The first inventory period is prepared together with the Finpro team.

If you use another e-Defter solution

GİB requires the inventory ledger to be maintained in the same software as the journal and general ledger. To bring e-Defter and e-Envanter together in one solution, migration to Finpro e-Defter and e-Envanter implementation are evaluated within a single project plan.
