Can inventory records be linked with SAP FI-AA?

Yes. Operational inventory records can be linked to SAP FI-AA fixed asset numbers, and the corresponding inventory identifier can be maintained in the fixed asset master data.

Can assets be imported from Excel?

Yes. Assets can be imported using a defined Excel template. The import process validates relevant data fields, including serial numbers. Historical employee assignments can also be migrated using the supported import method.

Can employees acknowledge assignments electronically?

Yes. Employees can approve or reject assignments using SAP GUI or a supported Fiori approval application. The standard assignment process updates the asset status when the employee acknowledgment is completed.

What happens when an employee rejects an assignment?

The rejection is submitted to the responsible departmental approver. If the rejection is accepted, the asset becomes available again. Otherwise, the assignment can be resubmitted to the employee.

How are employee asset returns managed?

Employees initiate return requests for eligible assigned assets and select an appropriate return reason. Authorized departmental approvers then review the request and determine the resulting asset status.

Can an asset be reassigned to another employee?

Reassignment requires the existing assignment to be returned and approved first. Once the asset becomes available, an authorized administrator can assign it to another employee.

Does the solution include barcode printing or physical stocktaking?

The documented product supports asset identifiers and inventory record management. Barcode label printing, barcode-based physical stocktaking and direct purchasing document integration are outside the current standard scope and may require additional development.
